Why Epiphany? The word Epiphany comes from the Greek word meaning "to appear, show forth, or manifest." This "showing forth" has a special meaning for Christians; it refers to God being revealed to human beings as a human - in the person of Jesus Christ. The purpose of Epiphany Lutheran Church is to show forth Christ in all that we do. We believe that God reaches out and calls us all by name as his own children. God does this out of perfect love for us. In thanksgiving for this wonderful gift of grace, we joyfully "show forth" what God does for us in Jesus Christ - by living as God's disciples Never, does God's love and salvation for us depend on our own works of faith... or how smart we are... or how we look... “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God - not the result of works, so that no one may boast.” -Ephesians 2:8&9
